- MOHRE Work Permit (Labour Card): Proof of work permit renewal from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. (Note: In the modern system, this step is automatically verified via electronic system integration between MOHRE and GDRFA).
- Commercial Trade License & Establishment Card: Valid digital copies from the employing company, synced seamlessly via corporate portal profiles.
- Valid Health Insurance Plan: Mandatory active insurance policy uploaded to the system before the residency permit can be officially approved.
- Emirates ID Renewal Application: Proof that an application to renew the worker's physical Emirates ID has been initialized or processed in tandem.

- Fines Unified Regulation: The previous distinction regarding grace thresholds has been standardized. Fines are calculated straight from a flat unified penalty scale across the country.
- The Grace Period: The historical 17-day grace period has been expanded. Private sector employees are granted a 60-day grace period from the exact date of visa expiration or cancellation to amend their status or clear renewals without incurring penalties.
- Overstay Penalty Rates: If the 60-day grace period expires, overstay fines accrue at a uniform rate of AED 50 per day.
- Payment Collection: All overstay fines must be paid securely online via the GDRFA app/website during the smart application checkout, or cleared electronically at an authorized Amer Customer Happiness Center. Cash hand-offs to local section desk operators have been completely phased out.
