Husband can sponsor his wife (except in Sharjah which have restrictions on which occupations are permitted to sponsor their families).
The sponsor must have a salary of at least AED 4,000 per month, or AED 3,000 if the company provides accommodation. This may have increased to AED 5,000 or 6,000 per month without accommodation and AED 4,000 with accommodation

Previously barred categories of expatriates now allowed sponsoring families in UAE
In a major move 57 categories of expatriate workers who had previously been barred in UAE from sponsoring their children and family members can now do so by depositing Dh5,000 per person

Previously Barred Categories
About 57 categories of expatriates will be restricted from sponsoring their families even if they earn the minimum required salary. The following categories are included:

* Certain skilled categories like welder, blacksmith, goldsmith, plumber, tile worker, painter (automobile painter), engine worker, assistant mechanic
* Laundry worker, car washer, grave digger, grocer, salesman, waiters, office boys, butcher

I am having Dubai Visa (Expiry Date is September-2011) and working in Sharjah SAIFZONE. Will cancell Dubai visa on September and will apply to Freezone Visa.
My dependent visa will expire only September 2012. So, while cancelling my Dubai Visa shall i cancel my dependent Visa or any other option to keep it as same.

Anonymous said...

Before canceling your visa as per rules you must cancel your dependent visa. If you are depositing 5000 Dhs for each visa no need to cancel the dependent visa. After stamping your visa you can withdraw the amount

How long does it take for the visa to get stamped on your passport after the medical? It's been 14 days for me and some people I went with have already gotten theirs back. If anyone knows PLEASE let me know.
Thanks

Criteria
The hospital your baby is delivered in will issue a ‘notification of birth certificate’ in Arabic. All expatriates must get both the Arabic and English certificate attested by the Ministry of Health (at Al Baraha Hospital) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Documents Required:
• Original + copy of parents’ passports with residence permits
• Copy of attested marriage certificate
• Discharge summary from hospital of mother and child

Procedure:
• Some public hospitals such as Dubai Hospital (04-7075805), Rashid Hospital (04-3371111) and Al Wasl Hospital (04-3241111) have a counter which will issue the Arabic birth certificate. Go there and hand over the documents and receive the Arabic birth certificate immediately.

• For an English birth certificate, go to Preventive Medicine Department at Al Baraha Hospital (also known as Kuwaiti Hospital 04-2710000).

• Get an application form from the Birth Certificate Office. A translator will type your application at the hospital. You can get it attested at the Ministry of Health Counter at Al Baraha Hospital itself.

• Take the documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for attestation. See Step 3 of 'Get documents attested in Dubai'

Dubai.ae tip: There is a private company called Medi Express (04-2727772, open till 7 pm), at the Al Baraha Hospital Compound, who can handle all translation and attestations for a fee of about AED 130.

• Check with your embassy before birth to determine the rules and regulations for citizens born abroad so you can confirm the citizenship of your newborn and apply for a passport. (Checklist of foreign consulates in the UAE)

Fees:
Arabic birth certificate AED 50
Translation fee AED 15
English birth certificate AED 50
Attestation fee (MoH) AED 20
Attestation fee (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) AED 150

Dubai.ae tips: After the birth of your child, do not rush to get the birth certificate. Wait till your wife and child have been discharged from the hospital and you have had a few days’ time to finalize a name for your child, before you proceed to get the birth certificate. However, do keep in mind that the maximum period to register your child's birth is 30 days.

You must have a valid health card in order to deliver in a public hospital.
To be unmarried and pregnant is a criminal offence in Dubai. Please carry your original marriage certificate & passports with you.

Why is chaat so preferred amongst Indians? The tanginess involved is the critical tempting aspect in the numerous chaat objects you will constantly come across roadside stalls crowded with people, all getting chaat! A lot of a sweets store also sell chaat prepared the hygienic way so drawing more consumers in contrast to roadside stalls. Very few of the preferred chaat products involve dahi bhalla, paneer masala chilla, aloo tikki, kachori with sabji, paneer tikka, raj kachori, bhalla papri, lachha tokri, pani puri, bhel puri, matar kulcha, pao bhaji, and papri chaat. Most of these things are prepared from flour dough with a blend of many other ingredients these kinds of as potato items, crispy fried bread, gram or chickpeas, tangy-salty spices, chilly and tamarind sauce. Every chaat merchandise is served in a plate garnished with yogurt, fresh new green coriander leaves, and more except the pani puri. Aloo tikki is a bit various wherein boiled potatoes are smashed and designed into tiny doughs and then fried in butter. When it is accommodated in a plate, it is garnished with yogurt, onion, spices, and coriander. So, have a look at your preferred sweets store and have chaat prepared the hygienic way! Law tutor

If you're not sure whether or not you need to have your documents attested, it's best to err on the side of caution and get it done. Uae Embassy Attestation process can take some time, so it's important to start early. Once you have your documents in order, contact the nearest UAE embassy to begin the attestation process.
