With the Ministry of External Affairs officially transitioning all 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫, 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚 (𝐂𝐏𝐕) 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐀𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬, the application landscape has undergone a major shift. The old multi-vendor structure (BLS International and IVS Global) has been consolidated into a unified network of 16 Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across all seven emirates.

Here is the operational guide to renewing an Indian passport under the new system.

• 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫: Alhind ICAC now handles all passport, visa, OCI, and document attestation services under one roof.

• 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦: Appointments are managed via the dedicated portal (consularsevainuae.com), with appointment slots released daily at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

• 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐞: The unified service charge is AED 19 (inclusive of VAT) per transaction, in addition to standard Government of India passport fees.

• 16 ICAC Network: Facilities span key hubs across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, RAK, Fujairah, and UAQ.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

• Validity Target: Initiate renewal 8 to 10 months prior to expiry. Most UAE government entities (ICP / GDRFA) require at least 6 months of valid passport tenure for visa transfers or corporate banking actions.

• Core Documentation:

• Current original Indian Passport + photocopies (first page, last page, address page, and residence visa page).

• Emirates ID (Original + front/back copy).

• 2 recent photos (51mm x 51mm, white background, dark clothing).

• Proof of address update (if changing UAE/India registered address).

2.Book ICAC Slot via Alhind Portal:Step 2.

Visit the official booking portal (consularsevainuae.com) to schedule an appointment at your nearest Alhind ICAC center.

3.In-Person Submission & Biometrics:Step 3.

Attend your appointment at the designated ICAC (e.g., Bur Dubai, DIP, Al Majaz Sharjah, or Al Ghaith Tower Abu Dhabi). Present your dossier, submit biometrics, and pay the combined passport and AED 19 service fee.

4.Track & Receive:Step 4.

Track your application status online using your reference number. The finalized booklet will be delivered via courier or picked up at the submission center based on your selected preference.
